In the future your total for shopping will add up as you put items into your cart so when you get to check out all you have to do is nothing. It will be deducted from your account automatically. I don't know how they plan on the bagging part.

Wallocaust is also doing this now, delivering you groceries and entering your home to put them away for you too !

"In a nutshell: Walmart has announced plans to expand its InHome delivery service in the US, from six million households to 30 million by the end of 2022. Priced at $19.95 per month or $148 per year including all fees and tips, it's not a bad deal, so long as you are alright with letting strangers into your home unattended.

Trialed in 2017 and officially launched in 2019, the program takes grocery delivery a step further than most. Rather than simply having someone deliver grocery orders to your front door, InHome invites delivery personnel to enter your home and put food directly into your refrigerator or freezer."

that's a helpful option for those who need it and SOME DO...it may be a temporary need (car in shop, injury, or whatever) or it may be a permanent need/preference for any number of people from paralyzed to hermits.

people still like to go to the store though and will continue to...many don't like others to pick out their produce, etc.

think i have the in-home every option as i paid a yearly fee this year, but i only get delivery to my door. prefer to put my groceries up myself. you do save money with this option if you use delivery often and also if the local walmart is a bit of a drive away, especially with these over inflated gas prices.

people used to have milk delivered to their homes. home delivery is a welcome convenience for many people, but this VR metaverse is disturbing, it also wpukd have to be geared to the lowest common denominator intelligence wise, so would be irritating as hell to use.

Good luck sleeping at night with the constant buzzing of the drones overhead delivering Chinese garbage that falls apart by the time it makes it to your door. But... but we didn’t vote for this!!!!!

Vote? Voting? What the fuck is that?

No bags in the future, the drones just throw your groceries in your trunk like he did with the milk.
And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "Just another soldier reporting, Sir. Ive served my time in Hell"

They're gonna need to bake in stealing somehow or miss a whole demographic.

Imagine, you try to buy ivermectin, and she says "thank you for scheduling your safe and effective covid shot, your VR headset will deliver the shot in 10..9..." You scream "no!" and try to rip off your VR set, but it has locked into head and you can't escape...
