Companies are just getting ready because they probably been told the Mandates will be upheld by the supreme court. The hearings is just for looks to the public! If mass firings happen across the country ..expect a shit ton of workplace shootings! I would NOT want to be in Human resources right now.

Got a letter today too
Looks like this is a coordinated effort of notification.

Vaccine mandate.. Can't come to the office without it
Big insurance company
 Quoting: 442

I think that a lot of companies that really don't want to do it waited until the notification deadline (Jan. 10).

The gung-ho companies did it right away.

Feb 9 is the deadline for testing to start.
 Quoting: SugarSand

But they all caved.
And my company did not allow for weekly testing.. Only mandatory vaccination

Re: Got the HR letter re:OSHA mandate this morning. Curious about how this is playing out for others.
They waited 'til the very last minute to send us the vaccination attestment form.

I remain unvaxxed, as does one other team member on a team of 6.

My company is great. I love it there. They are so good to their employees.

There's not a snowball's chance in hell I'd get the shot.

I have a feeling they will go out of their way to make sure they retain everyone they can, regardless of status.

I'm unclear as to how this applies to remote employees, because I'm practically remote as it is. I have an office, but I only go in once or twice a week.

I might be willing to get regular tests, as I think that they will go out of their way to make that convenient, perhaps on-site testing.

I'm a software developer and never have a problem finding jobs - recruiters find them for me ... and I'm not at all worried about a layoff if it comes to that. In my state you can collect unemployment insurance even if fired for cause.

So however it plays out I'll be fine.

I'd love to hear about others' experience.

I can't wait to see what happens February 9, which is the deadline to enforce the mandate.

i got canned in nov for not getting jabbed. I really had an awesome team of workers i worked directly with.

I was technically remote b/c of the 'rona, but hired as an office worker; even though i was working remotely, i tol dmy manager, look, im remote, can i stay; he took it to upper management, and they said, that they wanted to have a vaccinated workforce. I was out the door.

I was waiting for the supreme court show to see how it went, and that doesn't look promising.

I lost my software engineering job of 16.5 years (23 years in industry) on Nov. 1st for not getting vaccinated. I was the only one on my team not vaccinated.

We all had been working remote for over 2 years. Some of the other engineers on other teams that I was friends with tried the religious exemptions; they got denied and put on indefinite paid leave. 4 weeks into the leave they got termination letters from HR. They also don't get unemployment. I get it because it was considered I was not complying to company policy (to be vaccinated.)

I have not had any luck finding a new job as in some interviews they pop the vaxx question and I say "No." I am now looking for anything as I am burning through savings money fast.

I had expensive tastes like owning Maserati's etc. I was making OK money; way over 6 figures with all bennies including a pension.

Selling Maserati's, Alfa Romeo Stelvio maybe and a rare collector truck. I have lots of Gold as well but won't sell that just yet.

I stand up to tyranny as I am a Gulf war combat veteran and hate being blackmailed into something I don't want that stands against freedom. I didn't even want to attest to the vaxx question at my company; they had an HR Nazi meet with me and twist my arm. In the end, the day I got terminated I told them I had each of their names on a list for a future Nuremberg 2 trial. I told them I will volunteer my IT skills for free to bring these people to justice. I am sure they lost sleep over that which is what I intended.

We had to turn in our info by today. If we aren’t “cleared” we have to test weekly. No idea how that will happen when you can’t find a test and the lines at clinics are around the building. We have less than 100 at our site but our company is a large nationwide company. I uploaded proof of one shot and a letter from Dr saying she advised against any further shots due to my reaction.

The tests are poison
Why do you think they want you taking it every week
Some even could have the virus?

Yeah I’m not interested in doing that unless I’m sick. I’ve already started looking but having a hard time finding anything that doesn’t fall under the mandate. Food places, any kind of chain store…health related venues will all fall under the mandate…even gas stations. I’m going to look for remote positions but I saw on some of the listings they required it. It’s frustrating beyond measure

Within the next 6-8 weeks Omicron will prove if it is a covid-pandemic ender, if case rates peak and fall and the Biden regime doesnt get the hospitalizations and deaths they are hoping for

Also as more of the boosted start dropping

And as employers get whacked when other big shit drops in 2 weeks when the supply chain takes more hits from Biden-Trudeau idiocy on cross border trucking mandates

Less than 2 weeks to prep

Yea, my workplace sent out the message yesterday as well. They're giving us the option of weekly nasal probing if you don't want the injections. I'm choosing neither, so I'm updating my resume this weekend and will look for some kind of remote work from home. I was ready to disconnect with the job anyway after witnessing what these injections are doing to people. There is a growing hostility in those who have taken the jabs towards those who aren't jabbed. Those who have taken the jabs are already wearing markers to indicate this on their name badges, and I've wanted to get out of there before HR implements something akin to a yellow star to be worn by those who have not taken the jabs. Seriously, the mentality created from all of the bullsh!t is disgusting to me. I'm also tired of having to cover shifts for those who have been out repeatedly ill since taking the jabs, so I'm not really feeling a loss so much as a relief to get out of there at this point. Good luck to you, op.

Re: Got the HR letter re:OSHA mandate this morning. Curious about how this is playing out for others.
I work for Oracle. They have suspended any operations towards dealing with this until the Supreme Court makes a decision.

Of they uphold then we need to see if they grant my claim for exemption (its not a request) under the Civil rights act. My understanding is that I am claiming an exception and I work at home. They can only deny an "accommodation" if they can show a substantial and material cost to the business. The only cost they could cite , since my accommodation is literally continuing to work as I have been, is an illegal demand by the government that X percentages of employees must be vaxxed instead of being "accommodated " for religious or medical reason as per law if they want to get Federal contracts. Which opens a whole new can of worms ( as did their ejection of 100% of the religious exemptions for the Marines- every single one is an indication of persecution)

Now I don't have a lot - okay not any - faith that the court system will follow the law and decide in my favor just because the law clearly says I am in the right -but every dollar I take out of their pockets by fighting the case I am happy with - even if I promise 100% of anything recovered to the lawyer.

In a sane world they would understand that this is going to be costly for them to even try..but its not a sane world.

Please tell me you are suing them. They cannot require you to take a experimental medication and they cannot deny an exemption if your are working from home since there is no impact to the business and your "accommodation" is working as you have been. Get a lawyer.

My company is awaiting word from SCOTUS. Took everything I had not to go off on a response e-mail before I left the office today. They're requiring unvaxed to test weekly, out of pocket.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79403416

Try not to go off. SCOTUS might come through.

I can't imagine my company requiring us to pay ... we get so many perks. They are very generous with the perks, which apply to all up and down the line. Everyone has access to the same pro sports tickets, free food trucks, free lunches.

They handled the covid protocols wonderfully and managed to not have to shut down any factories.

They can't afford the churn that would come with making line workers get tested weekly, off site, at their own expense.

If they do go through with this, I expect my company would have an on-site testing situation.

I'm sorry this is happening. Let's hope for the court to fix it.
 Quoting: SugarSand

Fuck you for being ok with testing and mandatory testing!! You might as well as just get the fucking vaccine and be for mandatory vaccines too seeing as the tests are every bit as bad as the vaccines. I actually have more respect for the vaxxers than the antivaxxers that are ok with mandatory testing. At least the vaxxers are all in while you antivaccine protesting idiots will fight tooth and bail against vaccine mandates but be perfectly ok with testing mandated which are just as bad. Might as well just go all the way and get vaxxed and support vaccine mandates too

Something has changed in the law, tax law I believe. Closed this loophole. Now I know why.

I formed my own LLC, brought my team over as independent contractors.

Got the vax demand letter, even as a contractor. Lost it.

Now a FT employee for a competitor that made me fill out a vax status form, but is not requiring me to get vaxxed just yet
