Nearly twice as many military members died from suicide July-Sept than from coronavirus since pandemic's start
Over 150 members of the U.S. military took their own lives in the third quarter of 2021 which represents a greater total than the number of service members who have died from the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.

According to data released by the Pentagon, 163 service members committed suicide in Q3 of 2021 which broke down into 70 active service members, 56 reserve members, and 37 members of the National Guard.

Nearly twice as many members of the U.S. military died of suicide from July to September than have died from the coronavirus during the entire pandemic.

As of January 8, 86 members of the military have died from the coronavirus.

This summer, a research paper concluded that a staggering 30,177 American active military personnel and veterans involved in post-9/11 wars are estimated to have died by suicide – a figure at least four times greater than the 7,057 service members who were killed in combat during that time.

The statistics emerged this summer in a report from the Cost of War Project – a joint research effort between Brown University and Boston University.

"Unless the U.S. government and U.S. society makes significant changes in the ways we manage the mental health crisis among our service members and veterans, suicide rates will continue to climb," the paper warns. "That is a cost of war we cannot accept."

A very close friend took his own life after he lost a foot. I think he just got really frustrated with all of the surgeries. His real pain was greater than any covid BS.

Shit, they should come up with an anti-suicide vax and force them all to take it

Maybe right after the absolute dumpster fire of "withdrawal" from Afghanistan more so

Because all the OIF/OEF veterans just got told that all they've signed their lives off for, all their loss and buddies dyin' for 20 years was for F*CKIN NOTHIN

with EXTRA slaps in the face of more lives lost in the event, senselessly and preventably.

Anyone already in standard war PTSD distress waiting on the very last straw, that was it.

And the broken VA system on top of that that just HOPES you take yourself out.

No suprise.

Deeply saddening and an absolute tragedy. But no surprise.

I believe that's exactly what "they" want.

Has f*ck-all to do with the covid shit. That's just more to the pile of BS that veterans get to see form in this country.

I'll admit I've had some pretty dark thoughts too around that time. I'm fortunate to have a rock to cling to and people and creatures who depend on me pulling through. And that I remain aware of those things.

Be careful of the DoD-supplied numbers of COVID dead.

In July I received a NIPR email (.mil) that the COVID dead in the military had jumped from 38 to over 400. Two months later that number was back down to 42.

So any figures of how many have died from COVID, or the "vaccine" jabs is cooked from the military.

When I saw the Biden clusterfuck at the Hamid Karzai International Airport (on TV), I was sickened not just as an American, but as an Afghanistan veteran as well. I went to Afghanistan three times; I foolishly thought that I was helping oppressed people to breathe and learn and live; that girls and women could go to school and have jobs and live. A single day under Joe's "leadership" shot ALL OF THAT TO TOTAL SHIT. I've not been able to contact any people in Afghanistan to check on their welfare. I hate the fate to which our country may have abandoned them to.

Theses people were suicide prone long before they joined the military, I do acknowledge that the added stressors of the military life probably sealed their fate.

That is sadly more likely to be the case than most would like to admit.

Was, or IS? The criticality is that if it still IS, then we must keep our eye out for treachery.
