some systems have been built on shaky/shady foundations. sometimes foundations get cracks; sometimes they vanish entirely. the system built upon it collapses.

no one in charge seems to have the ability or desire to shore up the foundations of the systems under their control. so it blows up.

perhaps the news media is in no position to report on the more subtle aspects of reality.

it seems obvious enough they have no desire to repair the systems they've already allowed to implode over the last few decades...Libya, Sudan, Somalia, etc. etc. etc.

so imploded they will remain.
