Novavax effective against Omnicron

The EMA Assessment stated that the NAbs titer for seropositive placebo patients against the ancestral virus was about 180. As we know, infected people are protected against the same virus after recovering. That was why vaccines such as Pfizer with NAbs titer at about 300 could achieve initial efficacy at about 90% against the ancestral virus.

The recent Novavax presentation, "NVX-CoV2373: Variant-specific immune responses following primary and boosted vaccination", showed that the NAbs titer of Cov2373 against Omicron would be roughly at that same level as Pfizer's after two shots but increasing far higher after the third booster shot.

So, Cov2373 should be highly effective against Omicron after just two shots at about 90% efficacy and will likely provide near complete protection after the third booster shot. A doctor in India talked about his experience with Covovax and Omicron and said that Covovax was about 90% effective. This sort of data is still at the anecdotal level, i.e., not yet established. But, with known science about the correlation between NAbs and efficacy, his claim is credible.
