Above Ground Bunkers Vs Underground Bunkers

Well if you live in Florida you dig down 5 feet and you hit water.

So I guess it would depend on where you live.

Underground is always better. It's like a tornado shelter -- why would you build it above ground if an F4 or F5 can easily destroy it? Keep it underground and almost nothing can get to you.

All bunkers are eventual death traps.

Why on earth are you going to corner yourself in a coffin. If someone is in a bunker I wouldn't concern myself with trying to figure out a way in or even think about destroying. I know you have a limited supply of food and water in a bunker because it can only hold so much. So I could wait you out, but you will eventually have to come out for either food or water, or even just to get a breath of fresh air for just a minute. I'd have a sharpshooter waiting for you to pop your head out because he only needs a few seconds. If I can't wait you out, well then I know you need oxygen and it has to come from somewhere, so I'd find your air source and suffocate you.

If you plan on fighting, you need 3 things you need to be able to shoot, move, communicate. By putting yourself in the bunker you eliminate your ability to move. If you can't move then you are a deadman.

The higher the quality of your bunker, the higher the quality of your coffin is going to be.

Bunkers are for those that fear death
