In the case of Sodom and Gomorrah, the society had become so evil and selfish that God decided to destroy those cities. After thoroughly looking for a few good men and finding only Lot and his family as righteous, he led them out of the hellholes to safety before he rained down destruction and complete annihilation of those evil cities. Is that what is in store for those of us who have stood up for freedom and tried to always do the right thing?
Will the time finally come when evil has overwhelmed good and there is no point in trying to save a totally corrupted civilization? And yet those of us who realize the great truths will have no other choice than to fight the good fight even unto the end.
