Re: Ouija Board as wall decor? Yay? Nay?
You will invite spiritual warfare into your life. Spiritual warfare is a long game, not a cool ghost telling you your future like the Ouija board implies. It will instead be a long process of cars breaking down, bad health, complications at work, pets dying etc. Because bringing it in your house is stating spiritually "fuck it, I think Ouija board demons are cool so I'm gonna put it on my wall" so the Ouija board demons will come whether you use it or not. Because you made a covenant with it simply by admiring it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80821491

It can easily be claimed that since you've never used a spirit board that you are "bearing false witness" by merely parroting what others have said/believe.

So, if Satan is such a great deceiver what makes you think you'll recognize Jesus when he returns? Or will you again rely upon others to tell you the "truth?" And don't give me some bullshit about your "heart" instinctively knowing because that's a copout and as meaningless as saying your faith will never let you down.

Faith can be a double-edged sword because the definition is "the belief in something that cannot be proven." And in the final analysis, that's all you've really got.

Thanks!

I have played the ouija board game off and on since my late teens (back in the late 80's).

Never had a bad experience.

One time I actually helped my cousin find a lot of money her grandma left to her. It was hidden in a secret access panel no one knew about. The board/spirit led her to it.

They're fun as long as you have no ill intent.

Far out!! (And congrats! I'd be using it several times a day, had I been in your case!) tounge

Ouija board on the wall in your house -- Oh Hell no ...
 Quoting: Bigun
"Hell to the NO!" :)

Thank you, Servant in Canada, for the scripture quotes.

One common thing I have noticed, is most of you speaking of "demons" and I only expected being told about paranormal things, and 'spirits'. I only put the demon emoticon to the thread, never expected so much talk about demons. Fascinating, especially because so many of you agree.

What about some jars of aborted baby parts?

Wouldn't that be a great decoration/coversation piece?

Sick MFers.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78701318
You know, that would be hard to glue on the wall, I don't do shelves. :) But seriously, now! I was tempted to bring the image of a cool Ouija Board so you can see how far gone you've... well, gone, but I don't want to upset anyone. (Seems it would be a trigger here, yeah?) Oh and it wasn't about a conversation piece: I don't entertain. It's for me to admire the cool artwork, again: the antique moons and suns. They don't have that emblazoned in your.... never mind! yeahsure

It makes me happy to see how many people are awake to and aware of the negative consequences of this!
Be ever watchful!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80821491
You've posted repeatedly, so a subject close to your heart, to warn others, I mean. If you had any personal experiences you'd like to share, I'm all ears.

My apologies to anyone to whom I haven't replied, but I have read all, so far, and I thank you all for your input. Well, at this point, I'm postponing buying one, till I ponder it some more. If I do end up buying and pinning up on the wall, I shall take a pic and upload. (Won't be soon, any longer which should make some of you happy!)

I'm coming right back with a serious question for the Christians of you.... (so that it's not buried in this long post, which most will skim over or skip altogether.)

I'm thinking about buying a fancy, all wood Ouija Board and hanging it on my wall. Just for the swanky antique look & feel of it.

For the Christians who object and believe this stuff is real (which it might be, dunno): if I don't use it, nothing bad can happen, right?

I mean, what's the worst that can happen? It falls off and I have to re-pin it. If you object, state why. Thanks!

ehh these are games like monopoly as far as i know. made by the same company.

anyway i think they look cool and why not put them on your wall if you like it and its your wall?

i thought about it too before because the idea of ghosts always was interesting to me even tho it makes little sense.

when i was 5 i tried the bloody mary thing repeatedly and nothing happened.

In contrast, it doesn't depress me one little bit at how many people are asleep and ignorant of the consequences of their own doctrinal delusions. As far as I'm concerned those people deserve everything they get because I'd rather have a conversation with an open, deceitful mind than a closed self-righteous one.

After seeing this:
Dave Mustaine of Megadeth has said something very similar. He believed that those things that he communicated with ended up causing him all kinds of drug problems. It's a power I've always been too afraid of to play with. I don't like messing with potentially dangerous things that I do not understand well.
 Quoting: StayCurious

(I take it, he's become a Christian and no longer "Megadeaths"?) My question to the Christians, still at this thread:

According to you, does anything bad (some have mentioned falling down the stairs, cars breaking, poor health etc.) ever happen, in your opinion, without demons influence? Because we all have bad stuff happen, if only once in our lives. Can it happen just because people are in a bad mood, because randomly, because it just happens... or do you believe it always means a demon is behind it?

Note to GSB/LTD: ref your reply at repeat posting AC, I believe it was at youtube comments that I read that the Bible tells Christians that their "heart" lies to them, and not to trust it. Very confusing (and truly untrue!) indeed!

I wouldn’t it will start on the wall, then one night you will have friends over for drinks and next thing you know....your playing with it.

If you hang it don’t hang across from a window, door or mirror.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69111849

Other way round.

If you hang it, make sure there’s a mirror opposite.

Or even a mirrored bauble.

It will reflect back into it.

But not between mirrors. Because that amplifies it.

Just hang a pic of satan, same thing.

With all of the great positive things you could hang on your wall, why pick something you know has evil properties?

I’m saying you should re-think it. It’s where you live, choose life, not destruction.

Kitchen might be OK. Bedroom— you’ll be lying in bed watching mysterious orbs bounce from one letter to the next spelling out unspeakable fates in answer to your most horrible imaginings.

All night long.

In the kitchen it might be good company. It might be able to look into the rice pot to tell you it’s cooking right without letting the steam escape. It might tell you what herbs to put in your eggs.

In the bedroom you’ll lose sleep and go imperceptibly mad.

OP, if you want to fuck up your life go ahead and get one. I and others posting here have learned the hard way. Psychosis, drug problems, violent rage, incredible bad luck, bad relationships and demonic attachment await you.

The good news is it's not permanent if you turn to the Lord to save you.

Many on here will poo poo what I and others have warned you about, they have no spiritual discernment. They think it's a game until it isn't. There are many objects and habits besides ouija boards that will expose you. I only wish I knew all this before having to suffer for 3 decades as a result of my curiosity.

Re: Ouija Board as wall decor? Yay? Nay?
Not to put too fine a point on it, but all religions are steeped in ritualistic mysticism where candles are always present due to an arcane belief that the flame is eternal
[as in "eternal damnation in the fires of Hell"] and yet: the religious burn more "sacred" candles than do satanists or other cults - but that's a bit of an oxymoron since by definition, all religions are cults.

Take a look at the alter of any Catholic church for verification of that as candles are lit to speed prayers to heaven - in larger sanctuaries hundreds can be found burning there. And they are doing so in the fervent hope that a Saint or other spirit will take notice and intervene. Indeed, I defy you to find a church -of any faith- where there aren't at least couple of candles prominently displayed near those altars. And if that's not mysticism, then nothing is and Christians have no right to question anyone else's spiritual methodology.. but of course, they still do!

So how is all of that ritualism really different from asking a spirit board questions to seek guidance or simply entertainment as most are? Short answer: it's okie-dokie to render that sweeping judgement because the church says it is while conveniently ignoring the obvious similarities between the two.

And before anyone points an accusing finger [as many will want to do] and calls me a Devil-worshipper or Satanist there also you would be wrong. I merely recognize superstition, ritualism and mysticism for what they are and understand that all religions fully embrace them... but are too dishonest to admit it.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81088587

Actually, I didn't state that little girl was a demon but rather a childish -if foul-mouthed- spirit resentful at being neglected in a dusty attic for decades. When I first took my board to that nursing home back in the 70's, I witnessed several elderly patients who were likewise resentful of neglect: families that rarely visited leaving them confined to a tiny room with only a book, TV or a nurse's visit for companionship. And many of them were foul-mouthed, ill-tempered and combative too. Did that make them demons? Similarly, Alzheimer's patients frequently exhibit the sames symptoms but does that make them possessed? I think not. And as such I never considered that little spirit as demonic in nature.

My studies/experiences with the occult have been vast and early-on I recognized that demons do indeed exist. But I also learned they can be controlled into submission, just as all churches teach. The difference is that it doesn't take prayers [which are themselves nothing more than incantations], scared candles or blessed water to do so; rather it is a matter of old-fashioned power of will. I was never possessed because I refused to allow it to occur.

We all carry within us this force of free will, yet many either don't recognize it or choose to leave it dormant and thus allow others [frequently their religion] to call all the shots. But the fact is that each individual controls his/her own destiny. The hard part is in using that force wisely to avoid harming any other living being.

You are opening a door with spirits you do not want to play with.

My son got into the occult via new age. He got violently attacked when he came out of it and those same spirits tried to attack me and all in my family. But, they were in for a rude awakening with me because the name of Jesus repels them all.

We went through months of hell because of his attraction to the dark side and would not want anyone else to live through this. My son met the demons on the dark side and it took him months to recover.

I was possessed and harassed for a 2 year period in a house i bought . Alphabet murders or the double initial murders.

I sunk deep in drug fueled sex parties weekly , was playing hard rock in a band i had there . Drinking daily .

Eventually caught some WILD images of Demons on Poloroid Film and video.

MIRRORS do not exist in my home now - 20 years later . only the bathrooms have a mirror . They use Mirrors also to travel and see .

Ouija Boards hold spiritual power in them and have spells cast of the batches the produce weekly .

GET RID OF IT ASAP .!

With all due respect, you -and others of your mindset- are on the outside looking in and as such have little comprehension beyond your ingrained doctrine that there are alternative possibilities. And as I pointed out above all religions are based upon ritualistic mysticism so there is a strong level of hypocrisy in what they teach: that only they have the power/wisdom to discern good from evil and that only they offer the ultimate pathway to eternal happiness.

I happen to believe that God is present in all living entities -whether plants, animals or bipeds- and as such each carries within that divine connection. The hard part for humans is in recognizing that internal power and then using it without malice, avarice or any other metaphoric sin.

As I said earlier, I'm absolutely certain that demons do exist and that was especially apparent when I was studying classic Haitian Vou-Dou some 45 years ago. But I never feared them then or now because I recognized them for what they were: entities that exist only outside the physical plane that can only enter if we allow them to do so.

But once you comprehend -and learn to use- your own natural defensive abilities, there is very little than can harm you.
And horrific experiences result when that control is further diminished via alcohol, drugs or a pre-existing psychosis.

Again, the problem is that few are willing to work that hard to achieve such freedom from negative external influences and instead allow their religion to do it for them. That's not necessarily a BAD thing, but there is an alternative pathway.

A lot of wisdom, once again, in your 2 back to back posts, GSB/LTD. Thank you for that, and for correcting me on the little girl spirit being no demon.

Anyone her who is able-bodied, consider paying a visit to a lonely elderly woman in a hospital/hospice (preferably, it affects them most) and bringing them flowers, or a book, or something you don't use that is cute like a cat knick-knack, something you might need to declutter but would please someone. Maybe something to eat that is non-allergenic.

I don't know the legality of walking into a hospital or nursing home and asking to see a lonely person, but what a cool thing you've inspired me to request here, GSB/LTD. hf

If anyone can do this, this 2022, brighten up some lonely someone's life, even if for just 5 min. Ask them about the past. The positive memory could linger for days. (And we might very well be told "they're trying to kill me/vaccinate me against my will.)

You see how easy it becomes to enhance our own destiny while positively influencing those of others? Some call that that the wheel of karmic compensation, but it doesn't really need to be defined.

You are far wiser than you give yourself credit for being and proof that what the French philosopher Michel de Montaigne meant when he penned "each of us are better than what we believe." We simply have to first recognize, then act upon it.

I admire you for embracing that quality in yourself!

Don't be a fool and find this out all by yourself unless you are a masochist.

And once you comprehend -and learn to use- your own natural defensive abilities, there is very little than can harm you. Again, the problem is that few are willing to work that hard to achieve such freedom and instead allow their religion to do it for them. That's not necessarily a BAD thing, but there is an alternative pathway.

Love, love this!! Thanks for posting.

I also don't think those people can share any other way, that is the alternate-universe-on-Earth they find themselves, and their religion probably dictates to them that everyone must believe as they do.

I feel a bit at a crossroads, outside looking in, aware of these multi-verses on Earth, and everyone that has posted "yay" or "nay" is absolutely right, within their own universe, and mostly each one of us is unaware that the others are absolutely correct as well, within the reality they're trapped in. I feel like a visitor, kinda like Epcot Center: do I want to visit Paris or Morocco? And if someone tells you they have the best pastries but another tell you: "incorrect, no pastries here, only cool rugs", both are correct, but one needs to step outside to realize the micro-universes in the same spot. Fascinating! (Sorry for overusing this word.)

The same with people who post aggressively, with insults; maybe they have an "insult" demon? Maybe they just can't help themselves, maybe they're alcoholics, and once the aggression comes out, they hopefully feel better, even if for only 5 min.

If anyone cares to further star this thread, however you see fit, it'd be great to have as many stars as visitors, no matter the amount of stars you choose to rate with, it'll give an opinion of which "universe" (and mindset) has the most dwellers here.
