there are other antique or vintage checkerboards or such with a much better vibe and appearance.
 Quoting: beeches

It's the antique moon & suns I love. (Don't like checkerboads AT ALL!!) I almost got a psychic's sign a couple years ago. It was so beautiful. They wouldn't sell it to me.

I've seen you around: are you the person in the avatar, if I may ask? And are you Christian or...?

I'd nail that shit up there next to my handwritten copy of the Necronomicon and De Vermis Mysteriis like a bizarroworld Martin Luther, man.

LOL, I have NO idea what you just typed???

I'm a bit reconsidering, but not sure yet. I kinda wanted it slanted to the far left of the living room. And there's no chance ANYONE would un-hook it and use it. ZERO chance of that.

I forgot to cleanse myself, i had weeks of spiritual warfare.

The reason you are so attracted to these things is because the spirits are tugging and leading you into darkness, when they finally rear their uglyness and torture you, you will pray to Jesus , king of kings , God Almighty.
You will regret that you didn’t believe n run the other direction. Again you are being lured into this - in part you really haven’t had the shit scared out of you yet.

I purposefully am not going to give the gritty details because I don’t want to relive it,.
The spirits are everywhere and can sense energy changes including sharing experiences, that is why sitting by the fire telling ghost stories scares people and it opens doorways into to your energetic being because you are spirit too.

Wear the full armour of God, practice that instead and see how your life changes for the better.

Re: Ouija Board as wall decor? Yay? Nay?
I've dealt with ouija boards personally and for me this is a hard no. I've always been and am still very interested in the paranormal and occult but after playing with one of these as a teenager I never will again. Doors are opened you cannot close. If you do you are lucky. Something attached itself to me for decades. I had to call in a team that had a demonologist to clear my house and I honestly think it still lingers in the shadows. If you have it you will eventually play it. Your curiosity will get the better of you. I played w my best friend and we laughed when it moved thinking the other was moving it even though we swore we were not. One way I could think to prove it worked. I stayed on, she got off the board. She sat behind me and I told her to ask a question I wouldn't know the answer to. So she asks, "when did my papa die?" It spells out April 6. I sat there looking at the board and said to her, "Julia, that's your bday...?" When I turned to face her she had tears rolling down her face and said yes, he died on my bday. We were done. Never again.

An OUIJA Board Correctly Predicted my friends age of death when we were kids..(He asked the Question and was given a correct answer)
 Quoting: JF Priest

WOW! That's deep. It just reminded me that a relative told me that they channeled the spirit of a soldier and he predicted a war, that then happened (this was decades ago).

What did you friend die of and what did he die of, if I can ask?

As for the person who asked my astrology, I'm nothing like my sign. I'm more a combo of my moon + ascendant but I am way more like a sign which have have none in my chart, LOL! (Not typing them for privacy reasons...)

Living in Montana I was 16. My friend Ron with a few others were playing with the Board and he asked it when he would die. The Planchette gave his next birthday. He died shortly after his next Birthday. Shot in the face in the Navy. (Someone tried to rob his friends while on Leave and shot into the crowd.) Ron took the shot. RIP My Friend

I was smack dab in the middle of new age bullshit when a demon showed itself to me.

I instantly repented in the name of Jesus and didn't look back.

It was not only scary, but it physically hurt my just by witnessing it.

No. This is a portal even if it's not used. This is like having a painting of a demon in your living room.

You need to understand that everything is energy manifested. If you manifest a portal, or manifest a demonic picture your not inviting positive things in your life.

So your job was to cast out demons? Or some sort of psychic cleanses?

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69111849

You really believe they would "torture"? Somehow, I can't imagine them being worse that people iRL! I mean that! The reason why I'm so attracted is I recently became aware of entities in my home. I got rid of them. I got really really high on the feeling. I did it by myself. I think I want to relieve it. I feel invincible, tbh. And I am also very very drawn to giving them a job to do on my behalf. I've read back when that it's possible. I am so drawn to that.

I don't know that I would pray to Jesus, though. But who knows! Will I regret it? I doubt it. I hope not. Then again, I might give up on the whole thing. I'm pondering things. I think I might be not unlike them. It's thrilling. I have no fear. But thanks for the warnings.

Spirits are everywhere... ? Fascinating concept, not sure I believe it, but I respect you believe that. I think it would exhaust me to even ponder that! (Do they stick around when we take our clothes off? Hope they don't have spiritcams, LOL!) I can concede that about the ghost stories, and worse: videos, for sure. A lot worse on TV these days.

I have no idea what a full armor of God is, I'm pretty sure that guy isn't interested in me either and I am certainly not drawn to that one. But who knows how I feel tomorrow!

Thanks for your blessings and again, for the reply! ::)

Thanks for the new replies. Not going to do the quotes again, it's exhausting me. Going with your avatars:

Scorpion: thanks for posting that! Glad that demonologist helped you. So you think it is hard to get rid of? A couple years ago, I saw this guy on TV, he had scratches all over his heavily tattooed body.

(I think I remember someone saying that tattoos will attract them to you. Does anyone know?)

The alleged demon was attacking his elderly mother. He begged him to hurt him instead. He was a tough looking guy. He was crying. I felt for him. He showed the scars. Frightening stuff, for sure!

Fluffy kitty Thanks for your reply. Very sorry to hear that. Thanks for sharing, sincerely appreciate it.

JabMcBoosted: understood. It's about energy. You're right, there, I get it.

Does anyone here believe about getting dominion over demons? I realize there's different schools of thought. Who knows, I may need to learn by experience. Again, wasn't planning on using the ouija board, nor calling in spirits etc. but this talk about spirits and demons is fascinating to me. There's probably a reason I need to explore.

If i can say this, to me it's like people are telling me stuff like "don't use electricity,I saw too many people fry on old sparky" and I'm like "but I just want to turn on this lightbulb and light my room". Isn't there different degrees of what can happen? So that guy who wished me death, LOL, probably has that hard core experience of almost frying in the chair and I'm here, trying to turn on a bulb so I can read my book...but I also am fascinated by taking control of the demons. Why does it only go 1 way? I've read you can do that.

Also, do you guys make a difference between spirits, entities and demons? I have only heard that it is spirits that come thru the board, not demons, but you guys have experienced otherwise.

To the person who had a demon "show themselves"... how? Like a full bodied apparition?

Nothing bad will happen, even if you use it.

I've researched this for a long time, and the fact is, the scare stories you hear about the boards are just that... Stories.

Urban legends, mainly promoted by Christians, to help vilify the competition. They don't work, aren't of the devil and do not harm anyone. At all.

They're also not a useful tool and are only a game, suitable for teen girls at sleepovers.

So, if that floats your boat, hang it on your wall. Nothing bad will happen because of it.

If it has been used - ever - the energies are already attached.

Ouija board has no power in and of itself. If you're INTENT is to contact spirits, then yes, it can be dangerous. Using it as decor with no intent to communicate with the spiritual realm is not dangerous. Go with you're gut feeling on this decision.

Also, IF the board was used in the past I believe it is at least POSSIBLE that the board could be "infected" in some way.

Now, that's what I'm talking about! I'm serious, we are living where parallel universes co-exists. So at the same time that I would have been right along with you, mocking others even 3 years ago, now I believe everyone is right: everyone has a valid experience and I firmly believe that with your attitude, you will never encounter their experiences.

And for them, they have lived stuff that is impossible to believe, unless you've lived through it yourself. I've had some of this crazy stuff collide with my reality. So I am at a crossroads (for those who keep talking about portals, entry ways and doorways!) I think the hardest part is to realize that you are all right, and every experience is valid and I just don't know which way I'm going to swing, though I have an idea.

A terribly fascinating thread, for darn sure. Thanks everyone, didn't expect so many replies. I only had 1 troll, too. Not bad! :)

I'm thinking about buying a fancy, all wood Ouija Board and hanging it on my wall. Just for the swanky antique look & feel of it.

For the Christians who object and believe this stuff is real (which it might be, dunno): if I don't use it, nothing bad can happen, right?

I mean, what's the worst that can happen? It falls off and I have to re-pin it. If you object, state why. Thanks!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81088587

Here's a true story for you to think about:

That's exactly what I did with a board that had a malevolent spirit. The board itself was all wood and dated to the 1920's; it was found in the attic of an old house where it had sat unused for decades.

Once the spirit was contacted it started out as a sweet little girl who claimed she had died of Diphtheria. But she quickly changed her tune and became a mean, foul-mouthed entity who resented being left alone all those years.

I warned it that I would either burn the board or seal it up forever. She persisted so that's exactly what I did. I found a sturdy old frame that fit it and sealed it inside with several sprigs of Eucalyptus as a purifier. From there it ended up hanging on my wall for several years where I largely ignored it.

Then one day as I was dusting the frame I noticed a little change to the board itself. All around the edges of the printed surface was a ring of what looked like scorch marks as if it had smouldered but didn't catch fire.

I took it down and for the past 12 years it's been in the back of the closet where I keep my Christmas decorations. If that hateful little Bitch is still hanging around I figured all those happy ornaments would only make her more miserable.

Again: that's a TRUE story!

BTW: it did look great hanging on the wall, though!!

Thanks everyone for replies. I appreciate your experience. I think I have the same attraction. It's almost irresistible. When I was a teen, I got kicked out of a church because of the occult books I was reading. (I had no choice but to be at that church.)

If you don't mind my asking, could you please describe the "months of hell"? And how you made it stop and why the name of Jesus didn't work right away?

No, I don't mind. The demons that were unleashed, tormented my son for months. He was in his mid 20's when this happened and they kept trying to hurt him and torment him in the mind and his body. It got so bad that I could not leave him alone in the house. Either, me or my dad who were Bible believing Christians had to be with him.

It was tormenting for us because we watched him being tortured, but could not rescue him until he grew to believe he had power over them.

As for me and why did I stop them in the name of Jesus, is because I know and firmly believe in the power of the name of Jesus. Also, I had been trained in my dreams, many years before to battle demons. For many years I did not know why I kept having dreams about battling demons. Each dream was exhausting, but as they progressed I got better at it. I really think it was God training me for what I had to face when my son let them in my house and perhaps for sometime in the future.

So the night that they tried to physically attack me, like they did to my son, I left my bedroom to lower the air-conditioner because I was hot. The AC control was right outside of my son's room where he had been attacked the night before. I went to the control for the AC and all of a sudden I heard a noise like a thousand flickering wings. I saw the air distorted and saw a figure approaching me that was at least 7 foot tall. It reached its hand at my forehead and tried to push me down like it did to my son the night before. However, unlike my son, I had no fear. I authoritatively called out the name of Jesus and then it immediately ran back to my son's room. I heard the fluttering of wings again as it ran away. I went back to my room and fell asleep knowing I was safe and protected.

Re: Ouija Board as wall decor? Yay? Nay?
No. This is a portal even if it's not used. This is like having a painting of a demon in your living room.

You need to understand that everything is energy manifested. If you manifest a portal, or manifest a demonic picture your not inviting positive things in your life.

I just lost you guys, I had a weird page that blocked all pages and it said to turn on my webcam. So, I proceeded to first take off my clothes when... J/K! Glad we're back.

So I have no idea if I already replied to this, I have to retire for the night now, but I like this reply too, and wanted to ask of you:

What would be the opposite of a Ouija Board to hang on my wall, the opposite energies? (No Jesus paintings for me, sorry!) Something that would have a cool antique feel but have positive energy, anyone?

I see there's more replies but my eye hurts so I'll probably return to read replies tomorrow. Thanks, everyone!
