In contrast, it doesn't depress me one little bit at how many people are asleep and ignorant of the consequences of their own doctrinal delusions. As far as I'm concerned those people deserve everything they get because I'd rather have a conversation with an open, deceitful mind than a closed self-righteous one.

Alighieri Dante said it best when he wrote, "better to rule in Hell than to serve in heaven," but to paraphrase it further, "better to be a free thinker than a slave to blind conformity."
