I have the Glock 20SF and I love it.
Also have the 21SF

But 10mm is my favorite.

I lime the”cocked and locked” feature of 1911 because it’s old school dangerous looking but come on.

i have an extended magazine for my 1911, put a compensator on barrell to reduce recoil can run 10 rounds in a few seconds and place all within 5 inch pattern without overheating, cheap guns overheat, and besides my bullet is 2x the size of a 10mm, if it hits anything its breaking bone or clean taking off a limb, tons of humans survive 9, 10mm rounds

The best way to tell if a firearm is right one for you go to a gun shop and pick up and hold every variety that's there. The one that feels the most comfortable and the one you go back to, is the one. Then figure out what caliber you want to go with.

If you're buying just to have one, go for it; good luck finding ammo though.

If you want to carry I'd go for a more popular caliber that is more readily available from multiple sources. Don't let the 9mm naysayers deter you. Shot placement is what matters, I can kill with a pellet rifle with proper shot placement.

Many people refuse to believe this, but at 100 yards I can hit a 5 gallon bucket every other shot with my 1911 using GI sights.aim for the top, it barely hits the bottom.

All that said, if I had a Glock I'd be happy if only because I'd have something to trade for a 1911.

A .357 is fast and will go straight through meat like a pencil. A .45 is slow and will tumble destroying tissue. But like someone said above its all in "training" and shot placement.
