Just go back and forth between these performances. James Hetfield was playing guitar, but beyond that, I think Lavigne was more impressive because this is such a masculine song. It's nothing that a female would normally sing, but she made it sound natural. I think Lavigne's singing was better where Hetfield was basically screaming a lot. Lavigne actually sang the song properly all the way through. I can't believe it, but I prefer Lavigne's performance of this song.
