People have been under the influence mass hypnosis for decades increasingly so along with the advancement of mass communications, as long as I can remember. With the rona virus they just turned up the heat full blast. Some call it "boiling frogs". For some of us we are resistant to it. Some people can be woken up out of it, but it depends on how badly the individual wants to snap out of it. If people are too comfortable with being dependent on authorities making choices for them they are going to resist being awakened.
