House Democrats this week blocked a plan that would have required states to remove foreign nationals from voter rolls. On Wednesday, Democrats voted down an amendment by Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL) that would have kicked likely hundreds, and potentially thousands, of foreign nationals off state voter rolls [ link to www.breitbart.com (secure)] Foreign Nationals are allowed to vote in the US? Seriously? There HAS to be a law about this. How are they allowed to block this? It's illegal to let anyone who is not a citizen to vote isn't it? It is, though NYC is trying an end run on this for local elections. States can and must clean their voter rolls regardless of the lack of federal mandates. There's no federal law preventing it, and there are federal laws already regarding aliens(legal or not) voting in federal elections.
