I haven't seen any shortages of anything. I think all this panic only happens in one horse towns. Another disadvantage of living in the middle of nowhere

We switched presidents in the middle of a trade war. The intention was for this to happen faster so companies would be more willing to bring the factories back and make things here. The companies dont care and dont want to make the investments needed to do this so they took their ball and went home.

No shortages here in small town USA. Usual price increases and shrinkflation, but I just picked up 6lbs of steak with a 50% off sticker on it because it was cut a little weird.

Gatorade is because of a plastic shortage, they dont have the plastic for the caps.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77556472

mmm

plenty of Powerade available...

why's that?
Few will listen,
Of the few who listen, fewer still will understand,
Understanding does not mean believe,
Of the handful who believe, most may not know what to do,
Those who even know, how many will actually do ?
And the rare ones who have done it.......
Need not listen to you anymore.

BTW after WW2 they found that a big % of German people, forgot how much but these people simply disappeared, their disappearances could not be attributed to any war losses or even by moving to other places.

They simply disappeared.

What the hell is going on?

Are they redirecting our food supply somewhere else?

Is it really a worker shortage?

Is it a distribution issue?

Is this intentional?

Why is the price of what IS available pretty much double what it was 2 years ago?

I feel like somebody is fucking with us....

Shortages and extremely high prices for everything here in the
NE...Truly unsustainable. This is what your under liberal "leadership" always looks like. They pillage while everyone
suffers..
And I do think it is intentional using covid as smoke screen.
Very surprised our Country hasn't turned on every liberal politician.

The scamdemic pushed by the people you censor here are creating the shortage by screwing with all means of production through transportation.

There's no shortage of workers just too many lazy scumbags milking the scamdemic for all they can get.

Cut off all government welfare corporate and otherwise then let the market sort it out.

Soon all liquids will come in bags like Canadian milk.

In Germany after the war what few intellectuals were left were rounded up and sent to Russia and executed. That is the ones Eisenhower and Churchill did not execute in the USA/ British zones. MILLIONS of Germans were kicked out of their homes and close to two million just disappeared.

In the United States they targeted all of the smartest children who were not likely to oppose communism and refuse to acquiesce to tyranny by identifying them early and subjecting them to unending psychological torture. It is STILL going on.

If you realized the USA was had been transformed into a totalitarian communist state during the Joosevelt years and you were a child you were targeted.

Please at least give us a general location for reference.

Down here in the RGV of deep south Texas.....no shortages...at least no like I have seen pictures of elsewhere.

I have a theory that tptb are taking down certain cities or areas and not others so much or else funnneling all available food to particular locations.

It's strange, I live in the middle of nowhere and have not seen anywhere near the level of shortages Trin is talking about or on the level of some of the pictures I've seen online. Maybe occasional things here and there but always only temporary, and have seen about a 30% increase in average grocery expenditures over the last couple years but definitely not a 100% increase.

I saw a hot 19 year old shopping a few weeks ago in Publix by herself. Goddamn. Anyway, it's really rare to see anyone under 30 actually by their selves with a shopping cart. I think most young adults are still living at home with their parents these days and mom still does all the shopping.

San Francisco Bay Area here. LOTS of shortages.

Every day, I look out onto the bay and see the ships moored, end-to-end for miles up and down the length of the bay, waiting to unload. I drive past the port of Oakland and see only one, and often no ships unloading. Eighty-eight gantry cranes in that port, and never more than one or two operating these days.

Lately, I noticed a large number of bulk carriers and tankers waiting out there. That scares the hell out of me. Raw materials being held up or diverted. That's when the shit really hits the fan.

Also, the agency in charge of ship traffic in the bay just ruled that the ships can no longer wait inside the bay. They all have to wait at least 50 miles offshore, out-of-sight of land. At the same time, they're starting to claim that their extended operating hours are beginning to clear the backlog. BULLSHIT! The port is handling even fewer ships these days. The last two times I drove past, I saw not a single ship discharging cargo. All docks empty. Something is fucky.

My local Kroger here near Atlanta has pretty much stayed well stocked throughout the pandemic but last night when I went shopping everything was scarce . They still had a lot of stuff but the shelves were definitely low in almost every item.

It was weird .
