BREAKING Tornadoes on the Ground SW FL. Extensive Damage & Injuries - Ft Myers

Hope everyone is okay.

I'm here in Florida, it definitely seemed like tornado weather with the cool windy air blowing in on the warmer 70 degree weather we had.

Gonna be in the upper 30s tomorrow night and Tuesday. I'm gonna set aside some pecan and red oak for my little outside patio firepit and plan a hot chocolate and smores night with my wife and kids.

Put some background ambient music on, get the telescope out and make some quality memories with the mpst import people in my life.

Yeah I'm in Charlotte/Desoto county. Village of Holiday Lakes got hit pretty badly. My old mail route and a mobile home park. Sad to see the damage.

Yeah. I’m in the cape and we just got a second emergency alert for Tornadoes until 9:30am.
Looks like it hit Ft Myers the worst but it’s not over yet.
The emergency alert says to leave mobile homes and cars and go to strong shelter or basements.
There are no basements here!
the mobile home areas here are massive. Many of them have nowhere to go. Unless they have opened some of the schools which I doubt.

What's happening in Florida this morning looks to be heading up the Atlantic into New England by midday tomorrow to intermingle with Izzy. A wintery Ida situation??
