How does that give Sgt Baldheaded Needledick the right to assault a female cop who is following state law?

She was not following any law.
There was NO FORCE being applied to the perp.
She assaulted the sergeant from behind.

He had every right to defend himself and neutralize the threat.

She assaulted him from behind almost dragging him to the ground while he was engaging a VIOLENT perp who was beating people up outside a store.

Watch the body cam video from the other angle, he pushes her back with his hand on her chest, right at the collarbone, then he turns and walks away from her back to the VIOLENT perp who they are there to neutralize.
