Actually, it's the Canadian Special Operations Regiment (CSOR) that is being deployed, but I wouldn't be surprised if JTF2 were already on the ground. Naturally, the military is so secretive about JTF2 we don't know if it's actually there or what its mission is and never will know.

CSOR is not being sent as a deterrent. That's not its primary mission, anyway. They are likely being deployed as a force-protection asset, to protect the 200 Canadian soldiers who have been operating as advisors to the Ukrainian army, and help extricate them if withdrawal is required.

However, the fact that Canada is deploying special forces to Ukraine is NOT a good sign. Given that they are high-level, direct-action units, they're not being deployed as a 'just-in-case' measure, they're being deployed because something serious is going to happen.

The US and UK are likely doing the same, if they haven't already done so.

We know the Canadians as American's that can't fight.

I was specifically promised by Albert Pike that WWIII would start in the middle east.

But if it looked like NATO was going to have its hands tied up on the Eastern Front, that might embolden the Arab countries to band together and attack Israel, on the assumption that we would have our hands tied and wouldn't be able to do much about it.
