Confusing signals.

Like a red stoplight turning to yellow... or a green traffic light going straight to red. That's not how it's supposed to go. Opposed lights both going green at the same time. Uh oh.

You see a malfunctioning light like this, you know there's going to be a problem. You don't know exactly when, or which vehicles will be involved, but it's inevitable. Someone will go when they should stop, or in a best case traffic becomes hopelessly snarled.

When what you are being told does not match what you are seeing, that disparity creates a sense of unease.

I think we've all been there at some point. Many of us are there again now.

It is not time for any of us to take precipitous action that can't be easily walked back... you don't want to be the one to impulsively "go" when better judgment would indicate "stop".

But... it is perhaps a good moment to assess your position for ability to adapt to changing circumstances... to survey your options and to tweak your situation so that changes beyond your control are less of a threat and you have various means of responding to perceived or potential threats that emerge. To do what you can, remain prudently and consciously aware and engaged with emerging situations, and maintain readiness.
