Took quite awhile to get some, when hardly anyone was looking for it. I imagine if you try to order it when an outbreak occurs...you aren’t going to be able to get it at all. You're right in that it is too bad it is not available in the tractor stores. Is there any evidence for ivermectin being effective against pox viruses like S. purpurea? I don't know how hard it is to grow purple pitcher plant yet, but maybe it is a good time to learn. Stores out of seeds and plants when I was looking restocked. I am skeptical of the low concentration in the homeopathic bottles. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78791603 High dose IV vitamin C has been claimed to effectively treat almost all viral infections Thanks for the note on IV vitamin C and it is worth investigating. Do you mean IV vitamin c alone or combined with other things? Is it shown to be effective against pox viruses? You either must administer the IV yourself or be able to trust the person doing it. I wish I had more hard evidence on S. purpurea and I take it all with a grain of salt. Personally I don't care which medicine as long as it is effective and does not cause serious harm. I do not trust hospitals or the pharmaceutical companies these days. I hope I never have need to test different tools in a real outbreak. There were anecdotal field reports published in the 19th century by the British Medical Journal. Oral administration as a cure, with localized topical relief when applied to the skin. They are interesting but alone not something I want to bet the lives of loved ones. Publicly available scientific Evidence for S. purpurea comes from Arizona State University. They have a lab for this sort of thing. Just do an internet search. Last Edited by SeekerForward on 01/22/2022 05:26 AM |

Children 5-7 drops 3x a day. Maybe it's a good idea to mix it with a half cup of water to drink it. I don't have details on reactions or side effects, but you can look up current scientific research coming from Arizona State. You can buy purple pitcher plant from carnivorous plant stores, or find seeds. If you grow your own, be sure to get the right kind of soil, light, and give it correct nutrition. What about homeopathic drops? The strongest concentration I find is 6C from India. The "C" means one drop out of 100 is active ingredient. 6C means this has been done 6 times. 1 out of every 1,000,000,000,000. It relies on "water memory" if you believe this. TPoxx and Dryvax are the old pharma treatment and vaccine for smallpox, but be aware they recently came out with a new vaccine. No remedies yet for Ebola but I will report back if I find something. Ok. So you did your own research. lol |

Also there is 2 strains of monkey pox the one spreading cases around is the mild strain it has a 1 percent death. The bad strain isn't going around that one has a 1 put of 10 chance of dieing. So be thankful of that. |

There are many accounts from early missionaries in Canada of using this for smallpox. Pitcher plant grows thickly in bogs and lakes in the Poconos in PA. I collected some after the anthrax scare 20 years ago and it is sitting in jars of alcohol. I really appreciate this information OP because I never knew how to prepare it or what dosage. It is also easily found in the pine Barrens of NJ. Yes it is endangered, but will probably be found with many other specimens. Just harvest a few. Thanks again OP. BTW look up old threads here with studies on how ivermectin works against all kinds of viruses. |

The final concentration is 1 in 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10, or 1 in 1,000,000. So that 1 part per million, not trillion |
