My aunts and uncles in Sicily have refused to get the vaccine. Luckily they run a vineyard and work for themselves, but they have told my mom and I that a majority of their village refuse to get it as well. Sicilians are very superstitious people, and they have been oppressed by the northerners and Rome for centuries due to their mix Arab background. The north doesn’t recognize them as true Italians.

I find it hard to believe the Italian govt will go into “Gomorrah” (reference to the Italian show that takes place in Naples) where the majority of organized crime takes place.
