They know, OP. They are acutely aware of our situation. Putin regularly talks about how we are being purposely divided and how white people especially here are targeted with racism. They do know and acknowledge that the average US citizen has absolutely nothing to do with the horrors going on right now.

That said, I know a Russian couple who are unable to eat at some places because of their jab status. Take what you want from that. My takeaway is that nobody we see as a leader is actually leading.
