I have an app on my phone, it’s a free app that you can download yourself, it is called flightradar24. One of the really cool features of this app is you can have alerts set up so if an aircraft somewhere in the world declares an emergency, in the industry we call it squawking 7700, you can get a notification. I’ve had this app for years and usually you would see one to four emergencies pop up every month. That’s how it’s always been, aviation is pretty safe, there’s not a whole lot of emergencies worldwide on the monthly basis. But over the last couple of months I have been getting notifications sometimes up to 10 times a day. I’ve already had four this morning! Something huge and scary is going on out there and nobody is talking about it. I am seeing so many aircraft declaring emergencies on a daily basis, and I don’t know what the fuck is going on. You don’t have to believe me, you can download the app for yourself and set up the notifications. A lot of emergencies happening these days, I don’t know if I want to fly commercially anymore. Currently I am in the industry and I know a lot of these emergencies are due to unruly passengers, medical emergencies. I just worked a delayed flight becasue they diverted for a medical. I have also seen uptick in medicals happening on AC. |

So maybe its something new but something that usually does not result in a crash.. I do not know the details, all I know it is a super huge uptick with what I have seen normally over the last couple years. I don’t know why all these emergencies, I have no idea if they have anything to do with the vaccine or not, all I know is they are happening constantly throughout the day, my phone is always dinging now. Something is going on. and there's no way to find the information? for us flights or in USA traffic would a FOIA request to the FAA provide more details? There’s got to be a way to find out the details, this is GLP and our resources here are endless, I am sure somebody out there knows how to get the details. You can go to the NTSB website and get details on American emergencies, but they usually don’t have results posted for weeks or up to months. So it would take some time and effort to start keeping track of the registration numbers and then checking back later to see what the details ended up being. That’s just for America, I’m not sure how to look up details on flights and other countries. As OP stated 7700 just means "inflight emergency". it's up to the flight crew to say what it is (or not)..it's probably documented somewhere(Not a pilot or atc). Maybe they ran out of chardonnay in first class? Or one of four engines had a problem.. |
