- The rapture: Who is the restrainer? (2 tessalonians 2:6-7)? Its obious its the Holy spirit. That is the rapture. We will meet Christ in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:17). That is the end of the church age (or age of the gentiles) and beginning of the millenial reigh of Christ and the restoration of the nation and a certain people (the j.....) So yes, Paul taught the rapture.

And the Greek word used for ‘meet’ in 1 thess 4 is one that refers to going out to meet an arriving dignitary, to accompany them into a city (or in this case, to Earth).
And the restoration of that nation is not mentioned once in the New Testament

New testament does not teach anything contrary to what the old testament teach, all the promises in the old testament will be fullfilled. Elaboration on return of Israe.... can for example be found in the prophets in Ezekiel 36-> and with some googling you can see Ezekiel even gave us the date for the return of this country in may 1948. Also Isaiah 60 and 66 is interesting regarding the return of Israe..., and its one of those passages that unlock that Tarshish is Britain.
The certain people we cant name here (the j...) are central in Gods salvation even in the new covenant / new testament, and you cant understand it without knowing their position. Divide the word of God correctly!
He didn’t. What Paul did say has been twisted by those who follow the 19th century teachings of John Nelson Darby and the later Cyrus Schofield.
There is no secret rapture. It isn’t secret, but like Paul describes in 1 thess 4 - with a shout, with a trumpet call
We aren’t then taken to heaven, rather we meet the Lord in the air (the dead in Christ rise first and we return to the Earth with Jesus as his escorts.
Jesus also describes this in John 5:28-29 where ‘an hour is coming’ when those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned. Not separated by seven years or 3.5 years, or by some undetermined time period, as some pre-tribulation teachers claim.
The rapture begins the end of the age, when sudden destruction comes upon the Earth. 2 Peter 3:10 - the heavens disappear, the Earth and everything in it is burned up and, as promised by the Lord, is replaced by a new heavens and new Earth, where righteousness dwells.
All the promises in the Old Testament are fulfilled in Jesus Christ and His people, in His Kingdom .
