It might be true that you decline after age 34, if you avoid any intellectual challenges and just vegetate in front of a screen, but by staying engaged and exercising and staying healthy, we can maintain our cognitive function well into old age.

there’s things you can do. You can try supplements, exercise and many devices that can improve brain function. You can change your diet and get rid of the fructose. I felt mentally sharper after I ate meat.

Intellectual decline only effects your ability to think quickly, likely because as you get older you have more information to process. You don't lose your actual intelligence, intelligence is a gift from God. You can build on it or throw it away on mindless shit if you choose.

General stupidity is one thing. Most of us keep developing our intellectual ability past metaphysical and back again.
Bullet headed machine runner may "peak" when you start losing interest, but the mind continues in its wholeness, dumping off what isn't useful anymore and giving more attention to what is.
Look at the world of the people that profess this sht? The young are the ruthless do-er of the directives of the old - "aggressive corporate takeovers" aren't really considered "intellectual feats" and that is what the 3rd and 4th decade are used for.

Probably just men. Women hit a peak after menopause, after the estrogen is ruling the roost. If she ate real food, not microwave food, and avoided aluminum cooking things and aluminum baking powder, etc, she should have a fully functional brain at 60. Coconut oil and nuts and mushrooms help, too. Magic mushrooms help even more.

My memories pretty good tbf at 55, lots of bad patches in my druggy 30's+ but beyond that all good, in fact the older i get the less opinions i tend to give as i think a lot more before i speak tbh, probably a sign of intelligence no?

I do believe with age comes wisdom..... maybe i am confusing wisdom with intelligence?, but somewhere inbetween is the answer and in that point age is irrelevent maybe?

As someone who is about twice the age of 34, I disagree. I know more than I knew in 1987, my memory is better, my cognitive skills are better.

Perhaps it's the drunkards and those hitting the pipe that go mentally downhill in their mere twenties and thirties.

If that's the case, then 90% of the stuff people say on here is utter garbage. As it seems to be.

I'm 40 and while I admit my memory has been better at different points in the past my perspective has never been clearer and I understand that continues until your 60s.

I have always had a bad memory, except that from experience, so turning 35 made no difference.

Now in my 60's, cognitive decline is very noticeable, fortunately wisdom still remains. Best part is I don't really give a toss. Best days are behind you by 40 anyway.

I went back to college at age 52 and got a medical lab tech degree, graduated as one of the top 3 of my class

the other 2 in the top 3 were 50 and 39 years old

the rest of the class was in their 20s for the most part

half had no business being there they were so dumb
