The tree of knowledge represents free will, which wasn't given yet in the garden of Eden.
Yahweh made a bet that his creation will choose to worship and obey him. So the tree of knowledge was introduced to test that.
He threw a fit and threatened his own creation when it chose free will.

Yahweh is not the creator of all, he's a sub-sub-logos at best. He didn't create anything except the Earth and the heavens around it. "Heavens" meaning the astral layers immediately surrounding it. Those are the same astral layers that will also trap and convince you in every conceivable manner to return to Earth. Even using your family against you.
