Did John Titor predict anything happening right now

Alright, John Titor was a fraud. Case closed.

He said mad cow disease would ravage the land then russian nukes certain cities and the usa falls apart.

No he didnt and of course it was fraudulent..if you have to ask if an alleged time traveler is real...then turn out the lights as the party is over.

John Titor didn't "predict" anything.
He claimed his machine traveled more or less on a timeline - with about 2-5% divergence. Meaning that even when he returned home it would not be the one he came from , but a mostly similar one.

He Also hinted that he somehow mitigated the effects of the Y2k problem in our timeline by showing up to get his computer for a similar Linux issue, thus altering our timeline in a significant way from his.. So when he talked about what "would happen" we was talking what would happen in his timeline, not ours.

Fraudulent or not, he got a lot right - including the upcoming Civil war in America which was a lot less obvious in 2000 ( 2000 is the first year the urban/rural divide really starts showing up in electoral maps) He got Wifi right, hinted at the Manhattan skyline being different (9/11) and to a prion disease that was prevalent enough that he avoided all food here that he didn't know the origin of..

Mostly he was right about how we, as a society, need a long walk with a gas can.. and it looks like we are going to get it..

So if a hoax he was very astute at looking at the world and predicting future trends... and hence worth listening to. I wish he really were here on GLP today as the hoaxers ability to cut through the noise and predict events was quite good. Or maybe he was a time traveler. There is more in heaven and earth Horatio...
