Peace. Changing your mind is internal. Just listen and observe if that is the objective. Talking is imposing thoughts on others. No need to sugarcoat. Own it. It is fine. You want to engage, develop your thoughts, bounce around ideas. Cool. Plenty around here have ideas that are garbage so be discerning. It is quaint to lavish praise but let's be real, it can be cloying and manipulative. So people around here tend to be reserved and terse. It doesn't mean they dont care. Many of us are trying to make sense and improvements to a world in which many of the highest idealistic expression seem to be coopted and used by some very nefarious groups so have a thick skin and prepare for grilling if you want much in the way of counterpoint to your philosophical musings.

If I just listened and observed I wouldn't get productive comments like yours :) Thank you, you aren't wrong, and as you can see, neither am I. Our two opinions together are the bread and butter, the peanut butter and jelly, the rice and beans. The beauty of communication.

Changing my mind is half internal, but also external by giving you something you may not have thought about to better change my mind with. Communication is a cycle that never ends, but is ended by people who wish to draw conclusions and act.

Our interaction is a perfect example of possibly drawing a conclusion from communication where possible, as we have given an example to observe that with our perspectives combined, while slightly different, complete the functioning mechanic of contrast enabling communication. We have proved to each other the significance of our statements, and communication can end as we are now in agreement.

A premature conclusion would have looked more like a disagreement with you than acknowledging I must also listen and conclude to do that which I state in OP. You refuting my statement instead of adding contrast to complete it with wouldn't have us at a mutual agreement and proving our points simultaneously.

My purpose was to help you refine your logic, at least urge you to make it internally consistent, not that I don't get the role provocation serves in stirring up controversy, and the pivotal role such tactics serve in mental development. There is no doubt that the collaboration such communication provokes can be enriching and productive or more negatively is sometimes regarded as trolling. I dont take it that way and I enjoy an occasional mystifying banter every now and then midst all the turmoil of our proverbial interesting times in which we are living.

I appreciate the consideration. Sometimes I forget how people perceive communication differently and may use words spoken or listened to irresponsibly or even dangerously. I only seek a place to speak where I am confident people understand my intents and methods and do not reach conclusions prematurely, so my intent here is stated in the OP. I guess my point was to emphasize that private communication is not the same as public communication, and that we all share a responsibility and blessing with our beautiful art form here to understand this. I trust that when people click on the agreement they understand this intent and method and respect all that it brings for everything that it is worth and that it continues to be valuable for everyone. Those who deal in the art of ideas and communication can be perceived as a threat, though I offer you no harm. To explore the mind not to limit it with action. Thank you for speaking with me.
