I think, good chance, we have incoming and all the talk of tsunamis for 2 years, it will probably land in the water. Or even multiple incoming.

I see a period of airbursts, windows going in, some getting shell shock, cuts and falling object damage, and a few bigger ones taking a couple of cities out, some in the sea, then it'll subside again and the tsunami cleanup and build back better will commence. Then the aliens narrative will make it all very interesting indeed.
