Helpful movies/music suggestions in these crazy times
SS: looking to exchange ideas on helpful material (movies, books, rather than articles/websites)

I wish there was a thread for serious posters willing to help each other out - kind of a group where we can share ideas to help each other. I get that it would be trolled to hell, but i know when I view something real that really touches me/has an emotional impact, (especially in this time of straight up crazy). I want to share it in case it helps others. And I’m open to suggestions of others. We don’t all have to agree, but we can all benefit from dialogue, right?? (Possibly)

Just tired of the same old threads…I know this is an alternative site but I figure if someone can keep a thread about “what’s for dinner” going for years, it’s worth a try if it results in something positive

I’ll start:

Watch this movie: “Come and See” (viewed on Criterion)

(Anyone who enjoys WWII-era movies would find it interesting)

It’s so thought provoking. It’s beyond words. Makes you think and realize the twilight zone people live in, and how our spoiled, woke society would crumble during such a scenario.

Yes, it’s an art film, (and yes, it has Russian subtitles, deal with it ffs) so if you’re a blockbuster lover, this is not for you. If you’re the type that lives in your head and can do some critical thinking, it makes you see little glimpses of the same shit happening now…do we really repeat history?

I’d post a link but I don’t know if that’s allowed. If so, I will - but It’s a quick imdb search. Well worth it!

If anyone is just plain numb anymore like me, it feels good to finally “feel” things. You just have to search a bit.
