After multiple attempts to find a working charging station in San Jose, Harmon realized charging the car would take up to seven hours and there was no way she could make the rally. Harmon posted multiple videos about her difficulties in traveling in an all-electric vehicle. She discusses calling the police or asking someone to send a helicopter to rescue her. Even gas stations were few and far between in the beginning of the auto age. If she had used a "route planner" (there are many)...It would have adjusted her route to hit appropriate& available DC fast charger charging stations to complete her trip: but early electrics are not for idiots. You need to think about your trip. But don't think this is not improving every single day going forward. |

Mining output and investment has been in decline for decades, and metal mining is an EXTREMELY energy intensive activity. Using VAST amounts of diesel in trucks bigger than the grandest McMansion. Have you taken a gander at the oil supply / demand problem moving forward? Have you seen that OPEC+ isn't fulfilling their production quotas? Where's the energy and metal going to come from to build out this electric utopia? I won't even get into generation and transmission capacity. If "go green / electrify America" was a serious initiative, it would have started decades ago, and the investments would have taken place to enable it. Those investments aren't there. Neither is the energy (hydrocarbons / liquid fuels) available to build it out. The "electric" push will fail spectacularly (as it is - see Germany, etc.) and the people who don't care about money have known since its inception. The idea is to be able to say "well, we tried but it just didn't work". In the hopes that people will buy that story, and be peacefully complacent in their reduction in energy (liquid hydrocarbons) consumption. That axiomatically leads to a lower standard of living, and shorter lifespan. The availability of cheap readily available energy is ending for the average citizen. Can't print energy. Electrons will NEVER replace liquid fuels (hydrocarbons). At least not in terms of convenience, affordability, portability, reliability, etc. It's not even close. |

It is impossible to upgrade infrastructure to support this transition. 10% of the electric fleet possibly yes but nobody is going to build extensive network for 10%. US just have to wait and kick all the mentally ill libtards out of government and ban them for life. "Transition" is the right word to describe what's going on, but not the "transition" most people think is happening. The average citizen is being "transition"ed to consuming less energy in the form of liquid fuels (hydrocarbons). The meat isn't scarce. The lumber isn't scarce. The liquid fuel to run the farms and the trucks is. Well...liquid fuel isn't "scarce" per se. It has become too expensive to extract and bring to market for most people to afford. In a capitalistic monetary based economy built and run on liquid fuels, that just doesn't work. So the idea is that the "liquid fuel" club needs to get smaller and smaller, so only people who can afford to pay will get the "stuff". The meat. The lumber. The transportation. The healthcare. The technology. All the energy intensive services and activities we've become accustomed to are about to become a luxury only the super wealthy have access to. It has to do with energy. Primarily the cost (energy and monetary) of extraction. The oil based civilization is winding down. Rich folks want that lumber for their kids to be able to buy. So they're increasing the price of lumber (and anything else of value) to ensure their kids can have the fossil fuel lifestyle. But in order to do that, they have to price a segment of the population out of the market. So the product remains, it's just too expensive for most people to afford. It costs more to find, extract, and bring to market fossil fuel than they can ask people to pay without wrecking the economy. If you find the graph (there are a few good ones) of the price energy companies can afford to pay to extract the product, and the price the consumer can afford to pay for it, those lines have now crossed. The energy companies need more money to stay in business than the average person can afford to pay for their product. Rich folks have seen this coming for years, and it looks like they've finally decided it's time to tighten up what is available (affordable) to who. Personal transport, and air travel are on their way out for the average person. The electric initiative will fail, and they know it. There is nothing that comes close to the energy density and convenience hydrocarbons provide. All the hype about "electrify America" is just so they can say they tried, and hopefully people will not get too riled up when they realize they no longer belong to the "single mode transport" club. Mass transit, bike, or walk for middle class very soon. Absent a solution that I haven't seen, the "winding down" will continue. Technology is not energy. Technology REQUIRES energy. The problem is geological, and the elites know that the clock is ticking. I've watched this coming for over 15yrs. The "shale miracle" bought us about 2 yrs. Now we're sitting back where we were around 08-09. With a lot of bankrupt shale companies and angry/broke investors. Getting back to "normal" isn't going to look at all like what people think. What we've been doing the last 150yrs or so isn't "normal". What's normal is what we are moving toward, and most people have no idea what's involved. |

All those commercials you see with people driving across Nevada and through the mountains are bogus. You need to know EXACTLY where the next charging station is and hope it's in a safe area and close to your hotel. Imagine having to stop for 5-7 hours to refuel when a full tank of gas takes under 10 minutes. FYI - a helicopter gets about 9 miles per gallon!!! |

The "property problem" will solve itself as a byproduct. The goal is accomplished with the victim working toward their own demise under the guise of "going green". It's fascinating to watch people voting for, applauding, and investing in an initiative that can only result in a drastically lower standard of living, and a lower life span for THEM. |
