For that matter, how did ALL the components of an eye, from lens to retina to vitreous humor to optic nerve to its receptor in the brain, all appear fully-formed and working within ONE generation?

Evolution “theory” says that any mutation that doesn’t enhance survival harms it, so if any of those parts appeared separately, they would’ve been been a hindrance to any creature that had them, not an asset, and would have reduced their chances for surviving and successfully reproducing. Unless EVERY ONE of those components were created in a SINGLE generation, fully formed and functional, they would be useless.

The chances of them doing so would be about the same as if an explosion in a junkyard resulted in a brand-new Cadillac.

Ohhhhh now now sir I perceive you not understand the the theory of 'evolution' where such heretical questions are not tolerated. Sooooo... just tuck tail between your legs and retreat back to the university where the Professor explains this magical mystery tour.... and don't come back.
