He takes blood thinners for a heart condition anyway and I wonder if that will prevent clots - or just hold them off for longer?

So it should be no surprise that it could be a relatively rare side effect of any vaccine.
Look- it is a fact that vaccines have potentially deadly side effects. All of them do. What must be weighed are probabilities. More lives would be lost without vaccines for many diseases- and Covid is no different.

Blood clots were bad enough but with white rubbery stringy things attached to them, or at the center of them, or growing from them?
