OP your partner is spot on, the ones that will suffer the most in this is Americans, the usa is violent and crime is at all time highs. Europe will suffer slightly less than the states, and Canada has a transition plan in place, other than vaxxed sheep dying in droves leaving a measly 10 million people or less, thankfully many rural and farm operators are anti vaxx and there will be enough agriculture to sustain the remaining population with extra for trade.
