NATO was actually formed in 1949 specifically to repel the expansion of the Soviet Union into Europe; but in so doing, they have themselves DONE JUST THAT by soliciting membership and expanding into SIXTEEN Balkan countries that were either former Soviet states or are clustered directly around that cultural motherland. And they've added those 16 just since 1997.

And care to guess who actually controls NATO? That would be the UN.

Technically, NATO became OBSOLETE when the old Soviet Union collapsed since an entirely new government and political ideology replaced the old ones.

And just remember who said all of this before and called for NATO's disbanding... it was President Trump and ONLY President Trump! And -of course- everybody laughed and ridiculed him back then.

NOW: let's examine the LEGAL authority of NATO Commanders because in reality they have VERY LITTLE and instead rely upon military coercion to get what they want... this in effect makes them the aggressors in any action they undertake. In short, that old absurd theory that "might makes right." This makes NATO nothing more than a pack of hungry junkyard dogs.

NATO has no Parliament, no laws, no enforcement and they cannot even punish individual citizens or the troops of member nations. NATO Commanders CANNOT punish offenses such as failure to obey a lawful order, dereliction of duty or disrespect to a senior officer. This means that any member of any military under NATO command CAN LAWFULLY REFUSE TO OBEY such orders due to the individual sworn oaths troops make to their home nations. In the U.S., such a refusal could potentially be arbitrated under the UCMJ but that has so far gone untested.
