The climate.. it's not to hot and not too cold, year round. You get plenty of rain and plenty of sunshine, just prepare accordingly for the seasons. The hunting.. vast amounts of big and small game to take for food. The landscapes.. plenty of natural shelters, lakes, rivers, etc etc etc.. you have the mountains, the ocean and the high desert all within a 2 hour drive from the middle in the state. The people.. the people in portland that pose threat to rural Oregonians are easily defeated by an willing armed individual.. if they're not drug addicted, they're delusional, an easy take down or threat dealt with. Either way. Resources. Thes a lot of everything one would need for survival... The same could be said for washington and northern California for the most part.. Good info. I'm looking to relocate to the hills east of Roseburg. Cheap land and plenty of resources as you mentioned. Better check the elevation of that area before making a final decision. |

Nuke targets all over the place, and cities cities and more cities. Although north the climate is great for growing stuff, something people will generally NOT be able to do in many places due to not enough rainfall. Don't think that growing ability though is going to help me with so many nuke targets around. Well ... it's been an OK ride. Not great but not too bad. When the man upstairs tells me it's time to "check out" I won't try to argue. Starting to get curious as to what's on the other side anyway. |
