Truckers still streaming into Ottawa - Authorities working to keep the convoy split (easier to control message)
The shots you see from Ottawa are of the one street (Wellington St?) in front of the Parliament Buildings. For the most part, judging by each image or drone sequence, you could probably guess that were maybe 500 trucks on that one street, and maybe 5,000 people.

Hardly the protest to end all protests.

But the threads I've been picking up here in Canada, on various forums - some written by Ottawans - is that the city authorities (police etc.) have been blocking streets, keeping the convoy from bulging to one huge "mass" in the downtown core.

This is HUGE. That means there will be truck presence in many other areas of the city - from Vanier to Riverview to The Glebe to Carlington to Mooney's Bay to Ottawa South to Overbrook. The 417 (highway) cuts through the city and apparently the city core exit ramps have been blocked off.

What will be interesting over the next days and weeks is how the truckers fare in frigid temps. Right this minute, at 4:30 in the morning Eastern time, it's -20 in Ottawa (-4 for you Americans). Tomorrow and Sunday will be similarly cold, maybe a bit warmer, but Tue-Wed-Thu will be much warmer before dipping down again late next week. Let's hope the truckers can endure this cold snap. Ottawa cold is a bastard. I know it well.

I saw a video somewhere showing trucks and people with signs and flags filling the streets in the Capitols of all the other provinces, too.

Parts of the convoys (it's not one single convoy) have been cut off outside of the city.
