Use this thread to check in so we know you're safe and post updates on your current weather conditions. Quoting: Riff-Raff I live near Indianapolis. We have moderate rain at the moment, but snow and ice are showing up on the radar at the Indiana/Illinois border and snow in NW Indiana. Current forecast says 6" to 8" of snow plus 1/10" to 2/10" of ice for our location. Everybody stay safe out there, and don't forget to stock up on your french toast ingredients! That's why I just went shopping and hit two grocery stores seeking out Rib eye today. According to predictions it will be un-driveable for two days starting tomorrow and Friday. Not only is rib eye not on sale, it's 14.99-19.99 a lb depending on the cut brand, etc. Gas was 3.19 yesterday. Overnight it rose to 3.39. Overnight. I literally started to cry on my way home. The elites are throwing gas on a Volcano. Tomfoolery |

This will be devastating if true!!! I remember the ice storm of "94". The whole city was damn near shut down then! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80288626 I lived in a medium city during an ice storm. Roads were somewhat ok but all power was out for everyone. Went around town and both super walmarts down. Everything else any smaller down as well. Went to a neighboring city 50 miles away and most shit there was down too but there was a hardees and a gas station that had generators. Had me a big ol breakfast sammich and then filled up. Also saw some dude out on a dirt bike on the icy roads. He only dumped it twice that I saw...lol. Now Ryan Hall is saying some forecast are showing up to 1" of ICE. We still have so much old growth trees through out the city. MLGW is pretty good about getting power back up but this is going to be one hell of a cluster. I only have (3) 5 gallon gas cans full. 3-4 days tops. Luckily i have gas appliances. Stay safe yall. Remember to crack your outside spigots so they dont freeze Godspeed. 1 inch is no joke - that will collapse most trees. Gas appliances can make all the difference if you are out of power for a while. Stay strong and you will make it out just fine. |

The radar even shows rain, but we have cloudy skies with no rain near the surface. People are already calling this a fail here. Too soon to tell Quoting: Sumtingwonger Yeah, hasn't gotten to you yet according to my radar. Maybe it's moving south a little. I had one blow about 200 yards from my property. I woke up and really, actually believed it was a UFO. The lights and sounds were very UFO. In my drunken stupor, I called the sheriff and the phone lady said it was a transformer and was reported many many times. After that, I walked out and saw it actually was a transformer. WTF. Capacitor or batteries I could understand but transformers light up the sky with weird. Subspace energy is released. |
