It is not likely that when something happens, everybody will be able to quickly scramble into the woods, swing an Axe, put a log on his/her shoulder and skip back home.Like you and i could.
Also, the something happening could be a thousand different scenarios.
For instance, in your area, winds 350 miles an hour.
You and yours are save in a small deep enough basement.
You come out after and there is,,,,,,Nothing.
No trees,no nothing, fora 100 miles and it is freezing.
