I will only buy organic avocado (so I very rarely have any). I don’t think Mexican avocados are available organic. The GMO avocados of recent years taste like crap. So fck the cartels and fck the GMO Mexican avocados 🥑

While there is a lot of consumer interest in the development of a non-browning avocado, currently there are no genetically modified avocados are on the market. There are nine GM crops commercially available in the U.S. - corn, soybeans, cotton, canola, alfalfa, sugar beets, papaya, squash and potatoes.Right. I have always understood that avocados are one of the things you shouldn’t bother buying organic. I think bananas are another one. If you like the cheaper non-organic type, then get those. I really couldn’t care less.
