It would only make sense if you were trying to destroy the economy |

It cost $25k for everything to build. Today it would cost $200k. But there's no inflation... |

I remember a time when good studs were about a buck (cheaper by the bunk) and lower grade 8' 2x4s were 88 cents each. Now, that was a while back, and pay has gone up. However, the average pay rate has not increased 8 to 12 times from what it was when those prices were around-not even close. |

Quoting: ALL IS ONE IS ALL Not a chance--not in North America anyway. Many would be surprised but the fact is that there is a huge increase in the amount of forested land compared to 100 years ago. Taking into consideration that commercial tree plantations have drastically increased productivity, there is no strategic shortage of wood. Now, if one was to take issue with the quality of fast-growth pine, you just might have a legitimate complaint. |

Georgia has one of the largest crops in the US and they plant tens of millions of trees every year |

He works for a builder so I’m thinking if he can’t do it, who can, except for these giant builders who have stuff in the pipeline already and will finish current projects no matter what… |
