Asset bubbles and Inflation have ruined...
Asset bubbles and inflation have ruined economic incentives.

There is literally no point to working anymore.

It used to be that you could better yourself, get a good job/start a business, live frugally and save. This in turn would allow for the accumulation of assets. Assets were expensive but affordable given the proper mindset and execution. Income used to have real value. Through savings and purchase of assets one could build a better life for oneself and your family.

This gave economic incentives to better oneself, work hard, and in general gave rise to future preference as opposed to present preference. Future preference in turn gave rise to a positive feedback loop that greatly expanded society's wealth and well being. It gave rise to a population that could look to the future with optimism and joy.

That feedback loop has been catastrophically destroyed.

At this current time, for those under 40 who made the mistake of being born to parents not in the top 20% of the financai distribution, there is literally no hope or incentive for a better life. Asset prices have inflated beyond reach while incomes have been absolutely ravaged through a combination of intentional inflation and immigration.

Inflation-adjusted wages have DECREASED in real terms for FIFTY YEARS! Asset prices have risen in inflation-adjusted terms for FIFTY years.

With no ability to buy real assets (real estate) family formation collapses. When family formation collapses, so to does civilization. Why bother working when a decent life is out of reach no matter how smart or hard you work due to corrupt policies and corrupt people? Why slave away only to lose ground economically speaking? If family formation and a better life is not possible what's the point of bothering? What's the point of living?

All that's left is hedonism and violence.

Western Civiliation is collapsing.

Our Oligarchs have destroyed the incentive structure that allowed humanity to flourish. I realized when I graduated highschool in 2007 that college had become a debt slavery scam and decided to forgo it in leiu of self education.

I've spent 15 years bettering myself. I've read hundreds of books and useful articles. I'd pit my education against that of Ph.ds any day. I quit drinking, quit smoking weed, wake up at 5AM every day. I workout and am in good shape. I go to work, word hard, and generally in all ways give life my all. I'm part of both charitable and fraternal orgaizations. And for what? I can't afford a home, can't start a family, and everyyear all the hard work I've put in is worth less and less. I planned to buy rental properties to retire someday but due fraud, criminality, insane monetary policy, and a whole host of other confluence of events I am entirely priced out of any dream of not living the life of a slave.

Honest question, whats the point of continuing to strive for a better life when every piece of the system is arrayed against you? Whats they point of living if you can't afford the bare minimum required to have a decent life. At this point I regret having ever been born.

Sorry for the rant but i've never been this close to simply giving up. I really don't know what to do...

We’re really having a cold civil war. The problem is that people in your situation don’t have a social net to fall back on because nobody wants to admit they are in your situation.

The current homeowners just care about their house value going up. They never should have doubled or tripled, but should be a steady 5% per year.

The point is to realize you must tend to be as most self reliant as possible, the world has became a market place, it's all about money and commerce, all under international maritime law.

It’s looking like the new object to this 21st century nightmare reality is to just not end up homeless or a crime statistic.

We lived in a mobile home for 8 years to save up a nice
down payment on a house. Then paid off the house in 7 years
by making 2 payments a month.

It was depressing in the trailer but you do what you have to do to get ahead.

best case scenario, you manage to scrape enough scraps together to buy a house or whatever, now you have to be an obedient bitch forever or they just take it away

they pretty much killed all of the economic incentives beyond survival and without the opportunity to build people are going to seek that stability out elsewhere

Re: Asset bubbles and Inflation have ruined...
I'm slowly coming around to the idea that the collapse of civilization is the only way, personally, to get ahead in the world. In that respect, ironically, I'm grateful to the new Canadian Dictator for getting the ball rolling.

I'm praying and waiting with baited breath for the inevitable collapse due to intentional asset bubbles, inflation, and incredibly noxious levels of wealth concentration that have destroyed all positive forms of motivation.

While I'd prefer if warlordism were not the way to create a better life, I'm relatively young and relatively strong. I'm looking forward to the hubris of psychopathic actors bringing down their own corrupt systems. Hopefully they can retain their security after the collapse...
