I live in a Portland suburb, by the beautiful Willamette river.

The river that now has a bunch of derelict boat with hobos dumping their shit into the river. Thank goodness we're not downstream. In Portland, there are tents, garbage, shit, fires, motorhome and car campers everywhere.

Everyone hears about SF but I've been there too and I think Portland is winning the worst city award this year because they've added shootings constantly. 207 so far this year.

In addition to that, the median price of a home is over $500k.

We are selling our property and moving this year since all this bullshit is creeping our way and Oregon is failing.

Fuck Portland.

Portland isn't liberal or progressive enough.

It needs to be way more lefty and liberal.

A lack of enough liberalism means Portland (Seattle, SF, LA, etc) aren't kind, caring and wonderful enough.

Last year in downtown Portland in front of a nice restaurant in a decent area, a man in a mini dress all strung out shouted obscenities at me and my family and proceeded to go up to a small child pull out a knife and cut himself while threatening her and her mother at close range.

Yeah there are some serious issues in Portland.

But I still love it and keep going back, must have metal to walk those streets, the nature the forests the water the life the rad cuisine all keep me coming back.
