There are things out there that can help, you have to
look for them. I trust most Health Food stores as long
as they are willing to help.
You can find info on the internet also.
GOOD LUCK

through dna testing I found I am apoe 3/4. A higher risk than those without the 4 of getting alzheimer's.
Coconut oil is added to coffee in am. I also began to follow Dale Bredesen and his ReCode program as best as I could afford.
Many supplements - but Dr. Dennis Crouse claims there are 7 that are helpful: PQQ 20 mg a day. CoQ10 - 200 mg of ubiquinone or 100 mg of ubiquinol. Vitamin D3 2 - 4000 IU per day and K2-M4 AND k2-M7 (i take K2-m7, in evening with l-threonate magnesium).
400 mg Taurine daily, or increase amounts with diet. **may need blood work to determine levels.
5-MTHF to keep homocysteine low. 400/mcg a day.

Diet to include fatty fish for dha/epa - possibly look through Dr. Rhonda Patrick's info for she is apoe 3/4 too. "Found My Fitness."

I take Herring Caviar caps, due to most fish DHA not being able to cross the blood brain barrier. Salmon twice a week.
The many supplements that Dr. Bredesen suggests are overwhelming, but I am doing his protocol.

There is a forum apoE4.info that is helpful too. ( I also found research that NATTO helps to remove amyloid plaque. I take it sparingly - due to some plaque is needed for protection from inflammation. I take Nattokinase along with Serrapeptase twice a week)

Beginning major cardio and intermittent fasting as well. :) whatever it takes -

I wish you and your mom the best!
