All you can do is watch, don't argue. Spend that time.

It's a hard thing to watch somebody's mind erode, especially somebody you care about. I don't argue with her, I just listen and try to help her be physically comfortable. I don't know what to do about her mind. Yes. My Mom fell and it became unbelievable.
