This has actually been going on longer than the head injury, but the falling down seemed to have made it worse. It's a hard thing to watch somebody's mind erode, especially somebody you care about. I don't argue with her, I just listen and try to help her be physically comfortable. I don't know what to do about her mind. Sabrina |

It feels like something else has inhabited their body. Quoting: Sabrina Does Not Comply My mom is so confused and so angry. Especially at me. She was very vital and clear headed until about a week ago when she hit her head bad falling down. Refused medical treatment. Now, her whole personality has changed. She's in her late 70's and not jabbed. Her husband is blowing off my concerns. Maybe it's just dementia and not the blow to the head. But the anger is concerning. My mother in law has gone through this and is late stage now. There are doctors depending on what stage the patient is in and your financial ability that can revert the illness back to a near normal stage and some of the patients have maintained their cognitive functions for a decade or more last I researched. It involves doing a complete work up of every system in the body and optimizing everything to the proper levels. Last I checked there were over 80 different levels and they said there would probably be about 140 levels throughout the body when they perfect the system. Somehow by adjusting all bodily functions to their optimum levels it restores cognitive function in the patients they have treated so far. These were beginning stage patients. You can find the information on YouTube. I don’t know how widely available it is at this point and I assume it’s expensive. |

It's hard hearing the person who has always been your rock start to babble really crazy and hurtful things. I know that it's just a brain problem. Or is it? Maybe she always thought that. I don't know. Awwww, don't do that to yourself for too long, okay? You might come to believe it, lovey... It's like I lost both of my parents at the same time. The doctors have said she is in the final stages of it and can no longer retain any new memories. She thinks me and my sisters are her siblings, it's sad watching them waste away like that. |

Try to carry to a doctor to get exams, if the change if only aprox the time of blow, perhaps now she develop an abcess or any like that(more urgent that). The alzheimer or dementia always start a lot before, with missing remembrances. If you can, try to get she draw a analog clock (circle with numbers). User ID: 80367500 United States 05/14/2022 10:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There are things out there that can help, you have to Quoting: jimmyrigger look for them. I trust most Health Food stores as long as they are willing to help. You can find info on the internet also. GOOD LUCK through dna testing I found I am apoe 3/4. A higher risk than those without the 4 of getting alzheimer's. Coconut oil is added to coffee in am. I also began to follow Dale Bredesen and his ReCode program as best as I could afford. Many supplements - but Dr. Dennis Crouse claims there are 7 that are helpful: PQQ 20 mg a day. CoQ10 - 200 mg of ubiquinone or 100 mg of ubiquinol. Vitamin D3 2 - 4000 IU per day and K2-M4 AND k2-M7 (i take K2-m7, in evening with l-threonate magnesium). 400 mg Taurine daily, or increase amounts with diet. **may need blood work to determine levels. 5-MTHF to keep homocysteine low. 400/mcg a day. Diet to include fatty fish for dha/epa - possibly look through Dr. Rhonda Patrick's info for she is apoe 3/4 too. "Found My Fitness." I take Herring Caviar caps, due to most fish DHA not being able to cross the blood brain barrier. Salmon twice a week. The many supplements that Dr. Bredesen suggests are overwhelming, but I am doing his protocol. There is a forum apoE4.info that is helpful too. ( I also found research that NATTO helps to remove amyloid plaque. I take it sparingly - due to some plaque is needed for protection from inflammation. I take Nattokinase along with Serrapeptase twice a week) Beginning major cardio and intermittent fasting as well. :) whatever it takes - I wish you and your mom the best! |

I went through it, my friend is going through it now. It’s terrible and infuriating when they yell at you or get angry for no reason especially if you don’t deserve it and you are trying to help them. I like you said it’s sad because it as though a part of them have died. But they will come back from time to time and it’s then you can explain to them what’s happening and talk to them about it. Maybe it will make you feel better. I don’t know if it works but you can try also ridding of aluminum pots since many people with dementia are found with elevated levels of aluminum in the brain. Also if they’re pre-diabetic you can try low sugar low carb diet since elevated blood sugar damages the nervous system and the brain. I don’t know if Ginko Biloba works but worth looking into maybe. Anyway hope things work out. |
