Well disinfo or not, filtering tap water is a must, and I spent years doing the cheap filters. Forget it, get the real deal, it cost more but water should be a top priority. Test your water, too.

I'm a big fan of distilled water, the process takes time and the setup isn't free but the results are excellent.

You have to multi-filter and then distill all tap water that is to be used for drinking water. It is LOADED with filth and chemicals.

Me too!But I'm very concerned over the bottled water we use, because although it comes from good springs in Michigan, the labels used to say it was owned by the DREADED NEStLe Co. but the New Labels say its a product of Blue Triton, Which is the same thing and the website on Wikipedia was changed last month...So are they contaminating our bottled water??

Last year our public water co. informed us they were switching to digital but they really were snooping in our basements and if anyone still had an old farmers pump water well, they said that was illegal and had to be filled with concrete. We spread the word to find an old fridge, cut out the bottem and put it over any active wells in case we need them.(I had even better ideas not for publication so Im not spilling our secrets, lol).

Be forewarned as despite (false) advertising Pepsi's popular Aquafina is just tap water. Costco like many other bottled water brands sells 3X filtered tap water too.

hubby bought a water filter for the kitchen tap and all went well for a little while until i got sick to my stomach.

it was sooo bad, all i could do was lay on the floor and try to stay still.
the pain came and went like a knife stabbing in my gut.i couldnt eat and didnt want to put anything into it.

for three straight days i was in pain until i felt i had to threw up.
my stomach was full of little tiny black pieces.
it had come from the water filter itself, pieces of the medium had gotten through a crack and i unknowingly drank it.
drank a lot of it.

i will never trust those things again.not on my tap.
