Some people simply deserve it.And make no mistake, most would do to you before you did it given the opportunity.Its like a job,they don't give you a notice before firing you,it's not fun nor is it morally right,but its is what it is.

ultimately it stems from a control issue and a lack of self-esteem..that is, feeling you have been "ghosted"

normal, healthy people just continue on with their lives...

people have their own personal reasons for doing what they do and that should be respected

we should be happy for the time we spent with someone and if they need to move on and do whatever it is they need to do then we should wish them well on their journey

I’m older. Ghosting sounds like something kids do on the internet social media sites or dating sites.

In my day, if I didn’t like ya, I just avoided ya. No phone calls and no interaction if I crossed paths. End of story.

Maybe they ghosted you to avoid you freaking out over a goodbye.

Maybe they didn’t want the confrontation of a goodbye if they suspected you’d get upset over it.

emotional attachments can be very difficult to break especially when they are formed with expectations that have not been properly discussed beforehand. This often gets overlooked when people are trying to get what they want. Many times that is two different things and one party feels cheated, slighted or hurt. Its not fair. People are selfish and uncaring. The best of us get trampled. I hope you feel better and see that its best that people like this are not in your life anymore. They did you a favor! Good riddance!
