It takes a long time to retrain a pilot on Western fighter planes. On the other hand, if NATO donated attack boats to defend the south, it wouldn't take much time at all. One great advantage to donated planes and boats, is that they can be safely based in NATO countries and sortied from there with Ukrainian crews. |
