One of my relatives was a K teacher from the early 60's-90's; retired about 20 yrs ago.

She said every year the kids got worse and worse. And instead of dealing with them or putting them into a special school or therapy, the administration would throw all of the 'problem' kids into her class bc she was the only one who was willing to deal with them- all of the other teachers would refuse.

She had horror stories of 4-6 yr Old kids calling her every foul name in the book, throwing things at her, threatening her.

One of them even brought a knife to class and said he was going to kill her (both parents of this kid were eventually thrown in prison for selling/possesing heroin).

And this was in a supposedly decent part of the country!

She couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Some of these kids are little demons.

My first time of bus duty as a teacher many years ago dealt with a mentally ill five year old who the bus driver couldn't get to get off the bus. He would lay in the bus seat and kick violently at anyone who came near him. 45 minutes the stand off went on. It was the second week of my first year of teaching.

Now I didn't get upset and vomit like today's snowflake college grad who think they can save the world. But, y'all don't know how little human beings can do what you least expect. Now imagine if you had two or three yet to be diagnosed little five year olds getting violent?

Schools don't like to diagnose kids in early grades because then the school has to shell out money for accomodations like extra teacher aids.

Also, some Principals are real jerks and intentionally put all the troubled kids in one class thinking the other classes will learn better and have higher test scores without the troublemakers.

yeah, I got paddled in the 2nd grade, cause I talked too much...1st and last time for me, got "the belt" when I got home too - after the lecture ... it did the job-made a lasting impression -

Teachers were stricker because there was thirty kids in a class - no "helpers" - for 8hrs a day (2 recesses and lunch breaks - looking back I don't know how they managed - but I believe it was because the kids were disciplined (at home) "children were to be seen, and not heard" and not to forget "spare the rod and spoil the child" -

personally I was never spanked hard ... no welts or bruises except for my Pride - no PTSD lol - I spanked my kids, didn't need to once they were 10yrs old they knew "the rules, and minded their manners... and it paid off for them to be polite.

Many years ago, I did a stint as a substitute teacher (fresh out of college and needed work).

Worked 1 day at the same middle school I attended as a kid- all black.

Had money stolen from my purse, stopped a drug deal in the back of the room, and broke up a fight between 2 nasty girls (over a boy, of course)- all in one 50 minute class.

I left right after the bell rang and never went back lmao.

Keep mainstreaming mental cases.

That's how much I weighed as a high school sophomore.

Look at families when out and about. If the parents are fat usually the kids are too. Rarely do I see fat parents with skinny kids or the other way around.

No, it's just a consequence of the destruction of the family unit, programming children and conditioning of teachers to only have state sanctioned manipulations in their toolkit.

Then maybe you aren't training your kids properly to defend themselves.

My kid at 5 could do some damage. At 8 now he can really hurt. We work on kicks, punches, where to hurt someone, groin, face, etc. He's also very gentle and wouldn't hurt a fly. But if you give him no choice but to defend himself, he'll destroy you.

The 5 year old in this story, is obviously a disturbed child. But I doubt he could do any real damage to an adult. You have to focus to hurt someone, just wild flinging of body parts won't do it. Maybe something was thrown at the teacher.

On top of that, online learning wasted two years of schooling as standardized testing shows negative growth from 60% of students.

And a huge blow to homeschooling, kids were a full grade behind on average. Parents make the worst teachers as they are not trained nor understand the typical clues showing what’s lacking in their kids’ schooling.

The kids that performed above grade level on average were from expensive private schools or Christian schools that kept schools open.

Teaching as a profession is going to take a huge downturn soon. The great teachers are leaving by the thousands for other professions. This is due to the behavior from both obnoxious parents and their entitled kids. State superintendents, district superintendents, and school boards are actually failing teachers by not suspending dangerous and disruptive students.

The majority of new teachers coming out of colleges are not qualified to teach and are pushed through the college programs. Many lack critical thinking and believe that one dangerous student needs more attention than the other 29 in their class. Basically they hurt the 29 to unsuccessfully help the troubled one. Now about 27 out of 30 are behind the standards because they try and save one student who doesn’t care.

The districts and superintendents also push this type of failed logic because all students need to be included, no matter how it affects those trying to learn. This is liberal thinking 101.

When this happens daily, you would be worn down like her. It eats at you day and night. Her stress may have led to her panic attack.
